Scorpio season 2026

the season that does not let you keep the story you have been telling.

Scorpio season 2026 runs from 23 October at 09:37 UTC to 22 November at 07:23 UTC. What makes this one unusual is that two planets are retrograde through nearly all of it: Venus, retrograde since 3 October, and Mercury, which turns retrograde on 24 October, about twenty two hours after the Sun arrives.

Below are the exact dates, computed rather than recalled, what the season is traditionally read to ask of you, and three practices worth keeping. I am Myrah Penaloza, a designer and Kundalini Yoga teacher in Bali, and this is written dates first, meaning second, and honest about which is which.

When does Scorpio season start in 2026?

The Sun enters Scorpio on 23 October 2026 at 09:37 UTC: 5:37am in New York, 2:37am in Los Angeles, 10:37am in London, 11:37am in Madrid and Paris, and 5:37pm in Bali.

That last line matters. Because the ingress falls in the morning UTC, every time zone crosses into Scorpio season on the same calendar day this year, 23 October, but the hour is nothing alike: before dawn in Los Angeles, over breakfast in New York, late afternoon in Bali. The moment is identical everywhere, the hour on your own clock is not, which is usually what people are arguing about. Same effect at the equinox, explained in why Libra season starts at the equinox.

Every date in Scorpio season 2026

Every time above was computed from an ephemeris for this article, in UTC, so you convert once and trust it.

Why is Scorpio season 2026 different from other years?

Look at the two stations at the end of the table. Mercury turns direct on 13 November at 16:00 UTC, Venus on 14 November at 01:00 UTC. Nine hours apart.

The symmetry is the unusual part. Venus went retrograde at 8 degrees Scorpio in early October, Mercury goes retrograde at 20 degrees the day after the season opens, and both release within half a day of each other as it closes. The whole season sits inside that bracket.

If you want the detail on each, we have written both: Venus retrograde 2026 in Scorpio and Libra and Mercury retrograde October 2026.

What does Scorpio season mean in astrology?

Scorpio is the fixed water sign, ruled by Mars in traditional astrology and by Pluto in modern practice. The season is read as the turn inward, the part of the year after the harvest is counted and before the light returns, when what is unfinished stops being easy to ignore.

To be plain about the status of that: astrology is a symbolic language with a long history, not a tested mechanism, and there is no peer-reviewed evidence base for it predicting events. Its real use is the one a liturgical calendar has. It gives you a scheduled reason to look at what you keep postponing, and this is the month scheduled for honesty.

And if you are wondering which sign in your own chart a season actually touches, it is probably not your Sun. Your rising sign governs far more of it, which we unpick in rising sign vs sun sign.

Three practices for Scorpio season 2026

• Finish one thing before 13 November. Not a new project, the oldest unfinished one. With both planets retrograde until mid November the season favours review over launch, and there is a clean date to aim at.
• Use the Hunter's Moon on 26 October for the honest conversation. A full moon sits opposite the Sun by definition, so this one puts Taurus against Scorpio: what you want to keep against what you know has to change. Write both lists, and do not resolve them the same night.
• Save the new moon on 9 November for what you have not said out loud. It falls at 16 degrees Scorpio with both retrogrades still running, which this tradition reads as the quietest point of the season. Keep the intention private.

What should you wear during Scorpio season?

Darker, denser, closer to the body. Deep green, oxblood, and the black that is not quite black. Natural fibre with some weight, because the point of the season is sitting still in your own company for an evening, and synthetic cloth makes that physically harder. The Oracle Gown is 100% stone washed linen, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and European Flax certified, hand stitched in Bali, and it is what I reach for when the evening matters and I want to stop thinking about my clothes once they are on.

Every phase with exact times sits in the October 2026 and November 2026 lunar calendars.

Common questions about Scorpio season 2026

When does Scorpio season start in 2026?

Scorpio season 2026 starts on 23 October at 09:37 UTC, which is 5:37am in New York, 2:37am in Los Angeles, 10:37am in London and 5:37pm in Bali. It ends on 22 November at 07:23 UTC when the Sun moves into Sagittarius.

Why is Scorpio season 2026 unusual?

Two planets are retrograde through almost all of it. Venus turned retrograde on 3 October at 8 degrees Scorpio, and Mercury turns retrograde on 24 October at 20 degrees Scorpio, about twenty two hours after the Sun arrives. Both then station direct within nine hours of each other, Mercury on 13 November and Venus on 14 November, right at the end of the season.

When is the full moon in Scorpio season 2026?

The full moon falls on 26 October 2026 at 04:11 UTC, at 2 degrees Taurus, directly opposite the Sun at 2 degrees Scorpio. It is the Hunter's Moon. The new moon in Scorpio follows on 9 November at 07:02 UTC, at 16 degrees Scorpio.

What does Scorpio season mean in astrology?

In astrological tradition Scorpio is the fixed water sign ruled by Mars and Pluto, and the season is read as a turn inward: endings, honesty, intimacy and whatever has been avoided. Astrology is a symbolic language rather than a tested mechanism, so treat the meaning as a frame for reflection, not a forecast.

What should I wear during Scorpio season?

Darker, denser, closer. Scorpio season runs into real cold in the northern hemisphere, so natural fibre with weight does the work: linen washed soft, silk for evening, black and deep green and oxblood rather than pastel. One considered piece worn often suits the season better than a wardrobe of options.

Scorpio season does not hand you anything. It stops helping you avoid what you already know, and once a year that turns out to be a gift.
