The MA Force: Inside the Women's Community Behind Myrah Penaloza

The MA Force

There is a particular kind of attention a mother gives a child before either of them has spoken. She notices the shift in breath, the small change in posture, the thing that is wrong before the child knows how to name it. Myrah Penaloza built a community on the promise of that same attention, offered to grown women. It is called the MA Force.

What Mother Energy Means Here

MA stands for Mother Energy. Inside the brand, it is not a metaphor so much as a working instruction: every woman who finds Myrah Penaloza should be seen the way a loving mother would see her. Without judgment. Without condition.

“Without judgment, without condition, with fierce unhurried love.”

That is the whole philosophy. It shapes how the brand writes to its customers, how it responds when something goes wrong, and how it talks about the women who wear its clothing, whatever body, age, or season of life they are in.

How the MA Force Gathers

There is no membership card. The MA Force gathers, instead, in the ordinary places a relationship is built over time. In the Muse-Letter, the weekly Sunday dispatch Myrah and Robindra write from Bali, covering astrology, tea, new arrivals, and the stories behind what is being made. In the comments and conversations on Instagram. In the studio itself, in Pererenan, where women who are visiting Bali come in, try pieces on, and meet the people who made them.

It is slower than a typical brand community. That is deliberate. Mother Energy does not rush.

The Guidelines That Hold It

A space this personal needs care to stay that way. The brand asks for honest conversation, including disagreement, but never hate speech, harassment, or content that shames anyone for their body, race, gender, orientation, faith, or ability. Every kind of woman is welcome in this community: pregnant, postpartum, grieving, celebrating, on a first solo trip or an ordinary Tuesday. Every one of those moments belongs.

Why It Matters Beyond the Clothing

A brand can sell you a well-made garment without ever asking who you are underneath it. Myrah Penaloza built the MA Force because the clothing was never really the point. It is the vessel. The community, the recognition, the sense of being seen without having to explain yourself first, that is what women return for, again and again.

With love from Bali,
Myrah
