The Cocoon Wrap
Free worldwide shipping on orders over $350
Slow, ethical and sustainable production
For every order you make, we give back to Bali
There is a weight to this fabric that you feel before you see it.
Not heavy. Grounded. The kind of weight that says: you can stop now. You're held.
The Cocoon Wrap is made from the same hand-woven Tumanggal cotton as our beloved Spirit Top, sister pieces born from the same hands, the same tradition, the same Indonesian weaving lineage that makes this fabric unlike anything produced by a machine. Shaped into a silhouette that moves the way breath does, loose where it needs to be, gathered exactly where it matters. Statement sleeves. A drape that doesn't perform ease... it simply is it.
Wear it over everything. Over nothing. Over the version of yourself that needed the morning to find her footing. It layers without thought, travels without complaint, and transitions from morning practice to candlelit table without asking you to change first.
The cocoon isn't a destination. It is the in-between. The rest before the emerging. This piece was made for that threshold, for the woman who knows she is becoming something, and is wise enough to let it take the time it takes.
Ethically handcrafted in small batches by our Balinese artisan families. When it's gone, it may not return.
The details:

Shipping
Everything we make is handmade in Bali by our artisan families, in small batches and to order.
Whether your piece is waiting in the studio or cut for you after you order, it is finished, checked and packed by hand, so allow 3 to 6 weeks before dispatch, with botanically dyed pieces toward the longer end.
Once your order leaves Bali, transit is 5 to 15 business days, and tracking reaches your inbox within 5 days of dispatch.
Shipping is free worldwide on orders of $350 USD and over.
Below that, one flat rate by region: $14.99 to the United States. $15 to Canada, Mexico and Asia. $18 to Australia and New Zealand. $25 to the UK and Europe. $32 everywhere else. Free within Indonesia.
Duties and taxes are collected on arrival. Since August 2025, most US orders carry a DHL duty charge, and VAT or GST applies in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Exchanges and Cancellations
If a piece arrives and the fit is not right, or it arrives damaged, you have 10 days from delivery to exchange it. We issue store credit rather than cash refunds, and the piece needs to come back unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with tags attached. Return shipping is yours unless the piece arrived damaged or incorrect.
Pieces customised for you (made to your measurements, in a custom colour or altered to your request) are final sale, because they were cut for you and cannot belong to anyone else. Sale items, anything bought with a discount code of 25% or more, and anything bought with store credit are also final sale. Made-to-order pieces in our standard sizes and colourways can be exchanged.
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them.
Not sure of your size? Write to us before you order at support@myrahpenaloza.com. Five minutes now saves a piece travelling back to Bali or to our returns warehouse in the US.
