How to turn on the Switch from Survival to Truly Thriving?
Sat Nam loves, Myrah here.
I was asked the other day if I felt I’d reached my potential. and in the moment I quickly said no, but then I paused right there — realising that my reaction was automatic, coming from my subconscious programming rather than from any considered truth.
I became keenly aware of how much we operate from our minds, and more specifically from the stories we were given rather than the ones we chose.

what is the switch?
this made me think about what actually makes the switch from surviving to thriving. when you feel like your back is against the wall, when things are not going as you wanted — how do you turn it around?
after my meditation this morning, the answer was clear. and I’ve already been living it with every letter I send you.
these are not purely fashion emails. they come from my deepest desire to have a positive impact on people’s lives. I have intended to empower women every single day. that intention has been my direction, even when the circumstances around it have been uncertain.
from goal orientation to intention-led living
the switch from survival to thriving is the shift from goal orientation to an intention-led path.
goals are external. they are the destination on the map. intention is internal. it is the quality of presence you bring to every step of the journey. intention is not your profession — it is how you do it. not what you are doing, but how you are being while you do it.
intention is how we talk to spirit in the privacy of our minds from moment to moment.
when we move through the world from that place — genuinely trying to serve, to contribute, to show up fully — things shift. not because the circumstances change immediately. but because we do. and that changes everything.
what this looks like in practice
in the morning, before anything else, ask: what is my intention for today? not your to-do list. your intention. the quality of presence you want to bring. the impact you want to have. the version of yourself you want to inhabit.
carry that intention through the day the way you carry a compass. not rigidly, but as direction. when things get hard, return to it. when you feel scattered, return to it. when you feel small, return to it.
the switch is not a single dramatic moment. it is a daily practice of choosing intention over autopilot.
stay tuned — we have more to share on this.
