Healing and Fashion Pt.1 Linen Fabric
A note added in 2026. This letter was written in 2019, and one thing in it is no longer something we are willing to say. The claim that linen measures at 5,000 signature frequencies has been corrected below. We went and looked for the source, and what we found is written up in full in Does Linen Have a Frequency? The 5,000 Number, Where It Came From, and What Is True. Everything else here is left as it was written.
As someone who has been dealing with postpartum thyroid issues, I have personally been looking everywhere for causes and healing. As per usual, in life.. the answer was already in front of me.
If you are curious why quality linen costs what it does, we break it down in why is linen expensive.
As a clothing designer I have been researching the history and qualities of linen for the clothes but never was I looking at it as way to heal my body.
One way was looking at my diet, lifestyle + the chemicals I get exposed to daily and now the clothing I wear as a path to figure this healing path all out. Check out the research below!

About the 5,000 number.
When this letter was first written, I repeated something I had read in a dozen places: that the average human body measures at a signature frequency of 70 to 90, and that linen measures at 5,000. It moved me. I built a paragraph on it.
It is not true, and I would rather say so here than leave it standing. The number traces back to a single unpublished set of readings taken around 2003, on a device with no standing in physics, and it has never been replicated by anyone. There is no measurement of a fabric frequency, in linen or in anything else, because that is not a property cloth has. I have written the whole story of where the number came from in Does Linen Have a Frequency?
What linen does do is real and is enough. It breathes. It moves moisture away from the skin faster than cotton. It sits cool against the body in heat and does not cling. It is the reason a night in linen sheets feels different, and that difference does not need a number to be worth anything.

In the Latin language, the word flax means “being most useful” and the Holy Scriptures certainly emphasized this material over all other fabrics for the Holy attire. The original Hebrew language gives the attire of Adam and Eve as a linen robe of light (Genesis 3:21).

No fabric outpaces linen in natural strength, luster and durability.
Linen has been considered sacred attire across a great many traditions, and it is an ideal cloth not only for what you wear but for the table you eat at.
Stay tuned friends, we are releasing an entire collection using healing linen fabrics,
