A Meditation for Calming the Chaos

Have you ever had one of those days where things just fall apart and get a little chaotic?

Life happens. And sometimes chaos takes over, filling your days and nights with pressure, fear, tension, and stress. There is a Kundalini Yoga meditation and mantra that is perfect for exactly this.

A Meditation For Calming The Chaos

Use the mantra Ang Sang Wahe Guru (pronounced Ung Sung Wa-hey Guru). It creates a vibration that allows your psyche to readjust itself. When you feel like you’ve split into a thousand pieces in the chaos surrounding you, this mantra will gradually pull each part of you back into your centre.

To really connect with this mantra, sit in easy pose with a straight spine and place your hands in Gyan Mudra (thumb and forefinger touching). Close your eyes. Take as much time as you need. Try 11 minutes or 31 minutes.

With time, you will feel the chaos subside within yourself. Once you are calm within, no external chaos will phase you. You will act with dignity and peace within the most chaotic of times.

Ang Sang Wahe Guru. The dynamic, living ecstasy of the universe is dancing within every cell of me.

The mantra doesn’t remove the chaos. It reminds you that you are not the chaos. There is a part of you that has never stopped being still. This is the practice of finding it again.

A Piece for This Threshold

Virgo Moon Kaftan

The practice continues after the meditation ends. What you put on your body can be part of the ceremony of returning to yourself. The Virgo Moon Kaftan is close-fitting linen that settles against you and asks nothing in return. Women put it on and visibly change. Not perform. Change.
