No, do not treat an eclipse like a new moon and write a wish list. But not because the energy is dangerous or because something bad will happen to you if you do. The reason is simpler and less superstitious than the warnings usually make it sound.

What people are actually warning you about

If you search this question you will find a fairly consistent answer: eclipse energy is described as erratic, chaotic and unpredictable, and you are told not to invite it into your intentions or let your crystals absorb it. The advice is everywhere and it is mostly given in a slightly ominous tone.

I think the tone is wrong but the instinct is right. Here is the version that actually holds up.

Why it makes sense anyway

An ordinary new moon is a genuine beginning. Nothing is happening except a cycle restarting, so a clear intention set then has room to grow.

An eclipse is not that. Eclipses fall on the lunar nodes, which is why they arrive in pairs and in seasons rather than monthly, and they tend to coincide with endings. Chapters close. Things you were already half finished with finish properly. Information arrives that changes the shape of a decision you thought you had made.

So the practical problem with manifesting during an eclipse is not spiritual danger. It is that you are making a decision with incomplete information, at the exact moment the information is still moving. Whatever you commit to inside that window may look different by the end of the month, not because the universe punished you, but because you did not yet know what you were going to know.

Where the advice goes too far

I do not think you need to be afraid of an eclipse, and I do not think your crystals are in peril. That framing turns an ordinary astronomical event into something that requires protection, and it tends to make women more anxious rather than more grounded, which is the opposite of useful.

You are allowed to notice it and feel moved by it. Nothing is going to attach itself to you.
