The Kuan Yin Silk Playsuit in Turmeric Gold is the same wide-sleeved, deeply draped silhouette as the linen edition, made entirely in 100% pure silk and botanically dyed in turmeric. The gold shifts in the light — warmer in the morning, deeper in the evening, something that looks like an entirely different colour in a room with candles. There is no photograph that captures it accurately. That is not a flaw in our photography. That is what silk does.

This is a one-colorway, one-piece edition. 100% silk. Dry clean or hand wash cold, lay flat to dry. Allow 3 to 6 weeks from order to shipment, then 5 to 15 business days with DHL. One size; the silhouette is intentionally generous and fluid. Please see our sizing guide before ordering.

At $488, this is our highest-priced piece. It earns that number in the number of times it becomes the only thing you want to wear. Customers who buy the silk come back for the linen. Customers who buy the linen come back for the silk. We have watched it happen.

Everything we make is handmade in Bali by our artisan families, in small batches and to order. 

Whether your piece is waiting in the studio or cut for you after you order, it is finished, checked and packed by hand, so allow 3 to 6 weeks before dispatch, with botanically dyed pieces toward the longer end. 

Once your order leaves Bali, transit is 5 to 15 business days, and tracking reaches your inbox within 5 days of dispatch.

Shipping is free worldwide on orders of $350 USD and over. 

Below that, one flat rate by region: $14.99 to the United States. $15 to Canada, Mexico and Asia. $18 to Australia and New Zealand. $25 to the UK and Europe. $32 everywhere else. Free within Indonesia.

Duties and taxes are collected on arrival. Since August 2025, most US orders carry a DHL duty charge, and VAT or GST applies in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

If a piece arrives and the fit is not right, or it arrives damaged, you have 10 days from delivery to exchange it. We issue store credit rather than cash refunds, and the piece needs to come back unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with tags attached. Return shipping is yours unless the piece arrived damaged or incorrect.

Pieces customised for you (made to your measurements, in a custom colour or altered to your request) are final sale, because they were cut for you and cannot belong to anyone else. Sale items, anything bought with a discount code of 25% or more, and anything bought with store credit are also final sale. Made-to-order pieces in our standard sizes and colourways can be exchanged.

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them.
