once shipped, typical delivery is 5 to 15 business days depending on your location and local customs clearance. we make no guarantee on exact delivery dates.
every order includes complimentary tracking. use 17track.net or dhl's tracking by shipper's reference to follow your parcel. once your shipping notification arrives, contact dhl directly for all delivery enquiries.
duty & customs
duty fees, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and are paid directly to dhl at the time of delivery. dhl will contact you by text message with the amount due and instructions on how to pay.
if duty is refused and dhl returns your order to us, we will gladly re-ship — however a re-shipping fee of $22 usd will apply.

Because every piece is handcrafted to order in Bali, our exchange policy reflects the care and time that goes into making each garment. Please read through the information below — it is designed to be clear, not complicated.

What we accept
for exchange.
We accept exchanges on items that arrive back to us in the same condition they left Bali. Unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, with original tags attached, within their original packaging.
All exchanges are issued as store credit. We do not offer cash refunds.
Your item must beWe reserve the right to decline exchanges on items that arrive outside the 10-day window, in a condition different from how they were received, or on parcels that incur duty fees.
Something arrived
that isn't right.
We are genuinely sorry. This is rare, and we take it seriously. If your order arrived damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, please reach out immediately.
Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 10 days of receipt. We will resolve it promptly — always. This is not a situation where you will have to fight for a resolution. You will have one.

Need to change
your order?
Email us as soon as possible. We can action changes and cancellations within 24 hours of your order being placed.
After that window, our artisan team will have already begun work on your piece. Because every garment is made by hand specifically for you, changes may no longer be possible once production has started. We will always tell you honestly what is and isn't possible.

How to start
your exchange.
Three steps. We respond within 48 hours of every exchange request.
Forward your order confirmation to support@myrahpenaloza.com with the subject line: Start an Exchange — [your order number]
In the body of your email, tell us which item you are exchanging and what you would like in return — a different size, a different colourway, or store credit to use when you are ready.
Our team will respond within 48 hours with your return instructions, the address to send your item back to, and confirmation of your store credit once the item is received.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is damaged or incorrect, in which case we cover all return costs.
These items are
not eligible for exchange.
Because of the nature of how these pieces are made or sold, exchanges are not possible on the following.
Pieces made specifically for you to your measurements, specifications, or as a bespoke request. Because these were created for you uniquely, they cannot be exchanged.
Items bought using store credit from a previous exchange are final sale and cannot be exchanged again.
Items received as part of a prior exchange are final sale. Each item may only be exchanged once.
Items purchased at a discounted or sale price are final sale. Please check sizing carefully before purchasing sale pieces.

10 days from the date you receive your order. Please do not wait — the sooner you reach out, the faster and easier the process will be for everyone. If you are close to the 10-day window, email us immediately even if you are not fully decided. We can hold the conversation open.
We do not offer cash refunds. All exchanges are issued as store credit with no expiry. Your credit will be there whenever you are ready to use it — on any piece in our current collection, including new arrivals.
Yes, size exchanges are the most common reason people reach out and we handle them warmly. Start the exchange process by emailing us, let us know the size issue, and we will guide you to the right fit. If the size you need is not currently available, we will issue store credit for you to use when it is. If you are unsure about sizing before you order, please email us first — we know our pieces well and are happy to help you choose.
Return shipping for standard exchanges is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked shipping method — we are not able to process exchanges for items that do not arrive back to us. If your item arrived damaged or incorrect, we will cover the full cost of return shipping. Email us and we will arrange it.
We aim to process your store credit within 2–3 business days of receiving your returned item back in Bali. We will email you to confirm when your credit has been issued. Because replacement pieces are made to order, production of a new piece typically takes 4–6 weeks from confirmation — we will give you a clear timeline when we confirm your exchange.
Please use email for all exchange requests. Our social media team and customer service team are separate, and Instagram DMs are not monitored for customer care.
