Dharma is not a place you arrive. It is the way you walk.
The Dharma Gown never closes on you. Open at the front, full length, so it falls around the body rather than holding it in. You put it on the way you walk into a room you already live in. Arms through, shoulders drop, and the cloth does the rest.
Handwoven cotton has weight without heaviness. It moves a half beat behind you, which is the whole difference between wearing something and being dressed by it. Off white, not bleached, closer to the colour of cloth left out in the sun.
Woven by hand in Bali by families who work from their own homes and their own small workshops, on looms they own. Handwoven cloth is slower than mill cotton and it shows. A slight irregularity in the weave, the small evidence that a person was here.
Deep side pockets, the real kind. One size, cut generous. It softens every time you wash it, and it will keep doing that for years.

Handwoven cloth is never perfectly uniform. Small variations in weave and shade are not flaws. They are the proof a loom and a pair of hands were involved.
Handcrafted in Bali by artisan families who work from their own homes and their own small workshops, and are paid a real living wage.
Shipping
Everything we make is handmade in Bali by our artisan families, in small batches and to order. Whether your piece is waiting in the studio or cut for you after you order, it is finished, checked and packed by hand, so allow 14 to 28 days before dispatch. Botanically dyed pieces spend another 10 to 14 days in the dye. Once your order leaves Bali, transit is 5 to 15 business days, and tracking reaches your inbox within 5 days of dispatch.
Shipping is free worldwide on orders of $350 USD and over. Below that, one flat rate by region: $15 to the US, Canada and Mexico. $18 to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India and Indonesia. $25 to the UK and Europe. $32 everywhere else.
Duties and taxes are collected on arrival. Since August 2025, most US orders carry a DHL duty charge, and VAT or GST applies in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Exchanges and Cancellations
If a piece arrives and the fit is not right, or it arrives damaged, you have 10 days from delivery to exchange it. We issue store credit rather than cash refunds, and the piece needs to come back unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with tags attached. Return shipping is yours unless the piece arrived damaged or incorrect.
Custom and made-to-order pieces, sale items and anything bought with store credit are final sale. They were cut for you and cannot belong to anyone else.
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them.
