Three to six weeks from the date of order. Every piece is handcrafted to order by artisan families in Bali, so nothing is sitting on a shelf waiting. Made-to-order pieces, custom sizing, and high-demand periods can take longer.

Do Myrah Penaloza pieces run true to size?

Garments are designed one-size-fits-most, built to fit US sizes 2 to 16 comfortably, with many pieces extending beyond that. Instead of XS to XL sizing, the collection uses generous silhouettes, wrap ties, elasticated waists, and draping designed to move with a range of real bodies.

Will my piece look exactly like the photograph?

Not exactly, if it is botanically dyed. Plant dye reacts differently in every batch depending on water temperature and timing, so colorways like Rainbeau vary from piece to piece. This is a feature of the process, not a defect.

Will I pay customs or import duties?

International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes set by your local customs authority, collected separately from the order. Most orders to the United States fall below the customs de minimis threshold, so no additional fees apply in most cases.

Does linen wrinkle and will it shrink?

Natural linen wrinkles, and that is a sign of real untreated fabric rather than a flaw. Quality linen washed in cold water and air-dried will not shrink meaningfully. Hot cycles and tumble drying are what cause shrinkage, so both should be avoided.

And because everything is made to order, we cannot take returns for change of mind. Please read on before you decide.

Your Piece Does Not Exist Yet

When your order comes through, one of our artisan families in Bali begins work. The fabric is cut, the seams sewn, the tie finished, by hand, for you specifically. There is no warehouse. There is no shelf of finished garments waiting for a buyer.

This is why the wait is three to six weeks rather than three to six days. We know that is longer than most brands promise. It is the honest cost of making things this way.

That is not a delay. That is devotion.

How the Sizing Actually Works

There are no XS to XL labels here. Our garments are designed one-size-fits-most, built to fit US sizes 2 to 16 comfortably, with many pieces extending well beyond that. What makes that possible is the cut, generous silhouettes, wrap ties, elasticated waists, and draping designed to move with a range of real bodies rather than one imagined one.

Petite women sometimes have gowns or playsuits lightly hemmed, an alteration any tailor can do in an afternoon. Tall women often find our lengths land where they have been looking for. Curvy and plus-size women are among our most loyal customers.

Botanical Dye Means Variation

If you are ordering a botanically dyed piece, especially anything in Rainbeau, it will not be an exact match to the photograph. Plant dye is a living process. Water temperature shifts through the day, and the minute a piece enters the bath changes what the fibre takes up.

Some pieces arrive a little lighter, some a little deeper. That variation is what makes yours yours. You can read more about how Rainbeau is made if you want to understand the process before choosing it.

Linen Wrinkles. On Purpose.

Natural, untreated linen creases. That is what real linen does, and it is the reason it softens beautifully over years instead of pilling and dying in one season. Wash cold, hang or lay flat to dry, never tumble dry, and it will not shrink meaningfully. Skip those steps and it will.

Because each piece is made by hand, to order, by a real person, we cannot offer refunds for change of mind or for fit. We would rather tell you that plainly now than have you find it in the small print later.
