Creative Alchemy with Hands of Wonder author, artist and self healer Irene de Brice

30 Love Letters continues today with an introduction to Irene de Brice who after reading her story and seeing her work we are totally blown away by her natural luminous majesty as expressed by what she does in the world.

Check out her new book. This is a new venture for her and her mission is positive change.

This is probably one of the best gift idea's we have seen yet.

Meet Iréne de Brice whose mission is to leave you experiencing Creative Alchemy.

"I made this book as an act of self-healing, a gratitude offering to what I hold sacred for all the blessings throughout my life, and just out of pure love for my very neglected craft.

I never had the intention to sell it when I started it in 2016 but my local community/friends/family have pushed me to after the 1st Edition picked-up locally by word of mouth in 2017. It turned into something bigger than I ever intended" Irene.

We love this story as its an incredible example of what happens when you listen to the call of your heart. It's self healing, its self love and it brings so much more light to our planet.

Her work is gateway art for opening the beholder to creative alchemy through self-work.

Where can people find your book?

I just finally launched my website (yay!) at https://puraprana.com, Insta @puraprana

d) What are you really excited about right now?

That I finally have wholeheartedly said yes to what is being asked of me to do as my soul purpose, even if I find putting myself out there and taking a few steps away from "what I am supposed to do with my science career" terrifying. Small steps, deep breaths.

What inspired you to do what you are doing with this work?

I have always wanted to lead a life of service since I can remember. I chose biomedical sciences because I was told to (Latin American culture is known for "you better study or else" which is understandable given our history and our parents often coming from poverty, it is a push of love for us to do better than them), but luckily, I also love the wonder of it. I serve humanity through my research, my public health service to a truly historically underserved community, and my art meditations.

What's your major challenge right now and what are you doing to overcome it?

I struggle everyday with social media, I heavily advocate to disconnect to connect in these times but also understand that if I want to share my work so it touches as many lives as possible, social media is an integral part of it. I have hired someone who can help and I am slowly coming up with a plan to let go of fear and share my work more openly.

Something else that for me goes hand in hand with social media is that I also don't like the idea of "selling" my work, I want to hand it over for free, so I have to work on that relationship with money, but I have figured that I can use part of that money to funnel it to causes close to my heart and help myself do more art.

What's one daily ritual you are practising right now?

Making a huge effort to roll out of bed and staying self-accountable to my very early morning sādhanā.

How can the community support you right now?

The Revised Edition of my first major offering is coming out 01/13/2019, but if the editor hands over final reviews earlier we might release to accommodate holiday orders. It is "a new kind of coloring book." I honestly don't even know what to ask for, I'm a very humble introvert scientist entering uncharted territory, it is hard for me to ask for help and it's definitely something I need to learn how to do. This email popped into my inbox this morning and I was moved to reply.

I made this book as an act of self-healing, a gratitude offering to what I hold sacred for all the blessings throughout my life, and just out of pure love for my very neglected craft. I never had the intention to sell it when I started it in 2016 but my local community/friends/family have pushed me to after the 1st Edition picked-up locally by word of mouth in 2017. It turned into something bigger than I ever intended, now I just want it to reach the people that need it if it can bring any joy and awaken creative healing (translating to Spanish because my people really need it, planning to donate books to domestic violence/mental health shelters in Costa Rica for now and later other locations if I can make it happen). Link to site is still missing a microvideo but for now this is what I made https://create.puraprana.com/hands-of-wonder
