Happy Lunar New Year of the Dragon!
Sat Nam loves, happy (belated) Lunar New Year of The Wood Dragon!
It is said that The year of the Dragon brings the opportunity to step into the extraordinary.
What does a life lived extraordinarily mean to you?
For me, it feels like I'm taking care of my physical body with exercise, my mind with daily meditations and my soul with experiences that expand me such as travelling and taking workshops and retreats.
The lunar New Year in the east is a time to reset and reboot our lives, it's joyful, it's big and it's a celebration.
We had the opportunity to visit a few temples this past weekend and take in some of the festivities with the kids, it's been a blast.
This is a time when we sweep out the dust and any bad luck from the past year and wear a LOT OF RED to bring in the good luck.
Feeling inspired? Need some more red in your wardrobe? Check out our selection of Harvest Moon pieces that bring an elegant red to. your life here.
Lunar New Year is a time just like a new moon to begin again. To start something new.
Dragon symbology is all about soaring high above the grey clouds of doubt and fear and into the fiery flames of passion and self determination.
The Dragon embodies focus, clarity and helps us turn our visions into realities! The Dragon is no ordinary being and I know from the look in my children's eyes every-time we talk about Dragons their eyes light up in wonder and awe.
The Dragon is the most revered in the entire Chinese Zodiac, promising a time of profound transformation and opportunity.
Love, may this year inspire you to reach new heights and give you space to clean and clear depths of ourselves unimagined as possible before, may you discover the wisdom, courage and fearlessness of the Dragon.
Pluto in Aquarius which starts now and goes in and out of the sign until 2044, represents a time of profound personal and collective change.
The last time we saw this was in the 1700's with the American and French Revolutions.
Consider this rare alignment with the Dragon Year and we have the recipe for incredible shifts.
Pluto, known as the planet of transformation, death, and rebirth, forces us to confront our deepest truths, pushing for the elimination of what no longer serves us to make way for new growth personally and as a collective!
Aquarius urges us to think about the future, to dream big, and to prioritize the well-being of the collective over individual gains.
Lastly, the Dragon energy which brings us strength, luck, nobility, ambition and innovation lines up perfectly with Pluto in Aquarius.
This is all good news as there is much hope for a collective reimagining of what is possible to be on our beautiful planet Mother Earth.
