Evolution & Elevation + A must experience Greece Goddess Retreat with Selena Garefino
I cannot express with words the feeling that I get when I see women feel empowered and how they show up even brighter than ever before adorning the Kundalini Gown Collection. I truly fall in love with all of you and with that came a curiosity, who are these women behind these lovely photos adorning the gowns.
I started the 30 LOVE STORY project to feature woman who inspire us and those who have something powerful to share. Today's love story features the even luminous Selena Garefino who leads teachers in Costa Rica and around the world. Truly, an inspiring life she has designed. Follow her bliss... p.s loving her photos adorning our Lakshmi Gown.
Meet Selena Garefino
Your business / project that you are working on
I have the great privilege of training yoga teachers in Costa Rica and around the world and offering up what I call Transformative Travel retreats that take a deep dive into the yoga tradition paired with curated travel experiences in magical places.
Where can people find your services/projects?

What are you excited about right now?
I am most excited right now about the Divine Feminine and guiding women back into the heart of Shakti so they can unleash their wildest and most passionate life. I am super excited about the personal development and emotional healing work we are doing in our trainings and the profound impact of that on our communities, families, and ultimately the world.
What inspired you to do the work you do today?
Like any teacher, I came to teaching because of a deep passion for a subject matter. In this case yoga and its power to transform every area of our lives.
Whats your major challenge right now and what are you doing to overcome it?
My biggest challenge right now is adapting my practice and accepting my new body. I had major abdominal surgery in June (my second one) and it has permanently shifted the landscape of my belly and therefore my yoga practices.
I have had to let go of many aspects of the practice I've had for 20 years. I am practicing so much self-compassion.
I am staying close to my practices and going deeper into other aspects of the practice like pranayama and meditation. I am finding ways to love my body in this new state.
What's one daily ritual you are practising right now?
I always. Always. Always spend time with my breath and in my meditation seat. It's not a question or a maybe. It is a must so I can serve myself and others.
How can the community support you right now?
I would love exposure for my Goddesses in Greece retreat. It's magic.
My Goddesses in Greece Retreat is my focus right now. You can find the link here.
What is your dharma in 2 words.
I am super excited about the Adara Group. It's an organization that support maternal and infant health, menstruation hygiene projects, and emergency obstetric care projects globally. It's a small organization run by an incredible Australian women. I am also very supportive of Every Mother Counts. I used to work in Maternal Child and Infant Health and it's close to my heart.
